tvheadend on M740

Hi all,

can somebody tell me if it is possible to compile tvheadend for the M740 ?
I downloaded all the files for vdr-ng-em and could compiled the vdr but I don't know how to go further to configure/compile tvheadend :-(

Yes, this should be possible, but you must first compile dependencies, for example you'll need libssl or openssl.
The easiest way is to copy any file in "make-incs" from ToolChain and modify it for compile the dependencies and program.

Normally these files run "configure", "make" and "make install" with the appropriate parameters of the ToolChain.

to be honest that is way above of what I can do on Linux :-(
Is there a way to do that directly on the box, running configure etc
and then compile ? I don't care about the time since I have one spare box
sitting around here.

To build on the box you need all the tools needed to compile (gcc, automake, binutils, ...), in other words, these binaries that can run on the box and its headers, so this is much more difficult that to change the files in "make-incs".
