ERROR "failed" al cargar el firmware en m750. [SOLUCIONADO]

Hola, soy nuevo en este sistema y estaba intentando probarlo, pero me esta dando problemas al cargar el firmware generado en el m740 (convertido a m750) me esta dando "failed" y no soy capaz de cargarlo, os expongo los pasos que he seguido:

Método de carga: cuatro enchufados.
Factory Reset.
Carga del Firmware y error "failed"

Creo que el problema esta cuando genero el firmware desde instalación de windows, aunque he realizado pruebas cambiando la respuesta a todas las preguntas que realiza, pero hay una parte que no encuentra y aunque realiza la generación del firmware, creo que no lo hace bien, esto es una suposición.

Hola, efectivamente, todos esos mensajes que te aparecen "No such file" no son normales: lo que no sé decirte es que consecuencias pueden tener en la instalación.

Después de leer vuestras respuestas me he puesto manos a la obra.

El antivirus que tengo es "Avast" y como firewall "Comodo".
He desintalado el Avast y desactivado el Comodo y sigue dando los mismos errores.

Visto que no era capaz se avanzar, me he ido a linux (debian lenny amd64) he realizado los pasos que se dan para generar desde linux, y en este sistema sale tambien un monton de errores, que además no se interpretar; como coincidencia con el generador de windows parece que el problema esta en alguna libreria identificada como "uclib" que parece que no encuentra.

Tal y como te comenta Krako el problema puede que lo tengas en que algún Windows en concreto necesita la última versión de la librería "cygwin1.dll"
En Linux lo que te pasa es que falla a la hora de compilar el uClibc y luego ya no tienes el archivo mips-linux-uclibc-gcc que es necesario, habría que ver el error de uClibc, probablemente te falta algún paquete necesario por instalar.

A mi tambien me pasaba... Y despues decis que es seguro y nunca da errores compilar un propio firm... Mi Gigaset casi se muere por culpa del VDR, he hecho muchas pruebas y nunca ha funcionado...

Este error concreto del builder sobre Windows, también lo ha reportado un usuario en el foro alemán.

Su resolución ha no quedado clara, pero se confirma un conflicto entre “cramfsswap” y alguna librería utilizada por algún software muy concreto.

Gracias a todos por las respuestas.

He conseguido generar el firmware en windows, gracias a Krako y a Bittor que indicaban que el problema es la librería "cygwin1.dll", he obtenido la ultima versión de esta libreria a 12/06/2008 y la he puesto en el directorio del generador del firmware "...\m7x0-vdr-EM-fwbuilder\bin\..." sustituyendo por el que viene en el builder.

Por supuesto, no me iba a quedar sin cargarlo y probarlo en el m740 y desde luego que me he llevado una grata impresión, me ha gustado bastante y eso que esta sin configurar nioptimizar nada.

Claro que aunque he conseguido el objetivo, tengo una deuda pendiente para generarlo desde linux, después de las
indicaciones de Bittor me he puesto a buscar en el foro y he encontrado a alguien que añadiendo paquetes ha conseguido hacerlo desde linux, he cogido todos los paquetes que se mencioanan y he instalado aquellos paquetes que no tenia en el sistema:

aptitude install make automake bison binutils genext2fs subversion build-essential gcc-3.4 texinfo libmpfr-dev patch zlib1g zlib1g-dev libncurses5-dev

En este intento he reducido los mensajes de error, pero sigue dando error. ¿Existe una lista con todos los paquetes necesarios?

Claro que puede dar errores compilar un firm y cualquier programa en general, pero si da algún tipo de error el firmware no llega a generarse y el caso del generador desde Windows (no compila nada, sólo genera un firmware desde archivos ya compilados) es un bug con la librería de cygwin y en breve se actualizará para que no de este error en muy pocos Windows y aunque lo instales después de ver los mensajes de error puedes volver a instalar otro firm desde los 4 apagados sin problemas.

La distribución de firmwares que incluyen binarios que violan las licencias GPL y LGPL (todos los firmwares para el Giga) constituyen un delito contra la propiedad intelectual y ese es el motivo de hacerlo de esta manera.

Ahora mismo lo han quitado de ese dominio y no lo encuentra, pero si vuelves a ejecutar el make-fw te funcionará porque los alemanes lo han subido a su SVN.

Tema solucionado con la subida de dominio al SVN de los alemanes.
Después del ratito que se ha tirado compilando en linux, y después de la carga en el m740, me da la sensación que el firmware generado en linux es otra versión mas estable, mas rápida y con menos tamaño (800kb aprox.) que el firmware generado en windows y eso que el de linux lleva alguna opción más y mas plugins, en fin una delicia.

Tienes razón, ahora hay más contenido y el firmware es más pequeño.
Esto se debe a que el RootFS ya no está en CramFS sino en SquashFS que está más comprimido sin perder rendimiento y como al meter este sistema de archivos en el kernel nos pasábamos del tamaño admitido por el Giga, el kernel está comprimido con LZMA, por lo que tenemos un kernel y RootFS más grandes que en la versión anterior pero ocupan mucho menos .

Y también tienes razón en que la versión inestable es la versión más estable que hemos tenido nunca, pero todavía se están añadiendo y modificando cosas para pasarla a la rama estable.
